We’ve now had our first 2 sitting weeks of  Parliament for 2017 and the mandatory data breach notification bill finally passed both houses.  Meanwhile, the controversial re-identification offence bill did appear on the Senate agenda but hasn’t yet been debated. Turning to copyright, Village Roadshow again asserts it will launch a further court application to block more piracy-linked sites and Foxtel faced its own piracy battle with Facebook streamers.
